Asham Shogun rising through the ranks!
Asham Shogun and his young owner Rachael Temm are really kicking goals in the Eventing World, finishing on their dressage score in their last two events at EVA95, a 7th place at the Sydney Autumn Classic closely followed by a podium finish last weekend at Tamworth!
Asham Shogun, affectionately known as ‘Alfie’ is another son of Glenormiston Bartley who is excelling as an Eventer. Purchased as a youngster in 2019, Alfie has been brought along beautifully by Rachael and her kind approach and patience is really paying dividends. Not a single jumping penalty in his recent outings saw him rise to a closely fought finish at Tamworth International Eventing last weekend taking out 3rd place in a very competitive field.
In Rachael’s words ‘He was uncomplicated to break in and has consistently and willingly grown through his training. He is smart and very athletic so has taken to eventing like a duck to water. He can be a little sensitive but he is maturing beautifully and improves each time he goes out. We love his impressive Connemara jump and he is yet to show signs of even coming close to the limit of his scope. He is frequently complimented on his athleticism and how much fun he looks to ride.
Thank you so much to Lisa for breeding such a beautiful boy, I feel so lucky to have him and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!’
We are so proud of what Rachael and Alfie have already achieved and cannot wait to follow their future progress, what this space!
