We bred Asham Limerick when we were afforded the opportunity to lease the beautiful Glenormiston Dunlaith from Di Watts and we sent her to Glenormiston Celtic Pride.
Glenormiston Celtic Pride is by Domo Cavallo Praize out of Glenormiston Dulcinea by Abbeyleix Finbar. Combining the blood of Domo Cavallo Praize, Abbeyleix Finbar, Castle Baron and the magnificent mare Glenormiston Scarteen produced everything that we had hoped for with Limerick being a lovely true to type filly. We broke her to saddle at home and in 2020 bred her to our stallion Asham Donegal. Her first foal, Asham Drumkeen is exceptional and was sold at 2 days of age! Testimony to his outstanding type and temperament.
Asham Drumkeen was Asham Limerick’s first foal and he is an outstanding colt. His type and temperament are second to none and he was sold at only 2 days of age, on the strength of that we bred Limerick straight back to Asham Donegal. This mating produced the stunning filly Asham Kayleigh who has the softest temperament of any horse we have bred! Her 2023 colt by Asham Duntroon is carrying on with the same beautiful temperament.
