Asham Slippery was the first Connemara Sporthorse we bred at Asham Connemaras & Sporthorses. In 2007 we were fortunate to be able to lease the stallion Glenormiston Slipper and bred him to our magnificent pony mare Cindy. Cindy was of unknown breeding but was the ultimate kids pony, teaching both Sam and Ashley the ropes of riding.
Slippery was the first horse Sam broke in himself and he exposed him to an array of situations and he took absolutely everything in his stride. From being dressed up in tinsel for Christmas and going to his first showjumping competition he went to pony club and went mustering and was totally unfazed by dogs, motorbikes, tractors, cattle …
Asham Slippery was sold to a sweet young girl Abbey, and moved to the Southern Highlands of NSW. He was an absolute little superstar and much loved pony and has now moved on to his next home with Skye. We are so proud of our little ‘Slip’ and the children who have taken him up through the ranks. He is truly a once in a lifetime pony.
